St. Mary's Academy of Pasay

Amongst the bright blue sky of Pasay City lies the presence of everlasting love and mercy. That significant feeling of God’s presence, Jesus’ brotherly love, and the Holy Spirit’s kindling guidance rang out in the hearts and minds of every Ignacian-Marian student and personnel present at the most solemn celebration of God’s everlasting grace.

As the Ignacian-Marian community begins another month here at St. Mary’s Academy-Pasay City, the institution celebrated its Eucharistic Celebration of First Friday in Honor of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, also known as the Holy Spirit Mass, on August 2, 2024, in the school quadrangle. The mass was presided over by Rev. Fr. Victor B. Clemence Posadas, SSS.

With the liturgical celebration beginning with the return of Catechism 101 given by Ms. Jennelyn Tapang, the Ignacian-Marians were engaged and reflective with their thoughts on the topic of having to cherish and express the gifts of the Holy Spirit, a fundamental part of one’s Christian life.

The theme of the liturgical mass talks about the Holy Spirit and how it makes our faith come alive within us, and this can be achieved through the fruits and gifts of the Holy Spirit. With the gifts of the Holy Spirit present in our lives every day, the community as a whole can maintain relationships and finish all the tasks it needs to do.

May the fruits of the Holy Spirit—love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, generosity, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control—as well as the gifts of the Holy Spirit—wisdom, understanding, knowledge, counsel, fortitude, piety, and fear of the Lord—be the foundation of our values and inspiration for a fruitful school year.
