To help the counselee understand himself better and his environment which lead him to make meaningful choices and effective decisions.
Counseling is given to all students on a year-round basis depending on the counseling focus of the month.
At the start of the counseling session, the counselee is given an assurance that no one will know his or her problem. However, if the case is detrimental to the life of the counselee, it is automatically elevated to school authority.
If you wish to avail of Counseling Service, please contact your level counselor. Your level counselor will send you an informed consent. It is a MUST that you and your parents to submit the filled in Informed consent before any session will transpire between students and Counselor.
TELEhelp is an arm of Guidance Center Counseling Service. The level Guidance Counselor / Associate will be the one to inform the students for the telehelp session. Students with same needs will be called for the focused group discussion. The telehelp can be used in case of emergency, platform to be used for this session are Google Meet and Zoom.

The school adheres to the Data Privacy Act of 2012. Hence, the counseling process is confidential, which means we cannot release any information about you EXCEPT under certain legally prescribed conditions or when it becomes a threat to your life.
How do I sign up for online counseling? / How do I set an appointment?
You need to accomplish the “online counseling appointment form” via google forms. The link of the form will be posted on our FB page @SMAPGuidanceCenter.
The students are entitled to have a maximum of 3 sessions per month.
The session is limited to 1 hour for each session. However, you can avail a maximum of 3 sessions for every month.
Yes, the level counselor in charge will send you a reminder through your e-mail.
The frequency of counseling is agreed upon by you and your level counsellor and will be based on your presenting issues and goals of counseling. Moreover, there will only be a maximum of three counseling sessions for every student in a month.
The best option is to make an appointment. This will help you secure a date and time that work best for you and you can be certain that you will get to speak with your counselor. IF you are in an urgent need of counseling session, and your level counselor is attending to another student, another level counselor may attend to you.
All counseling sessions will be held online until face to face is allowed.
All you need is an internet connection, your laptop or mobile phone.
