

In a continued effort to ensure the health and safety of its learners and staff, St. Mary’s Academy of Pasay, Inc. welcomed representatives from the City Epidemiology and Surveillance Unit (CESU) and the Department of Education (DepEd) Pasay for a collaborative visit focused on addressing current health concerns within the school community.
Leading the CESU delegation were Angelo Kristoffer Garcia, RN, MMPHA, PhD, Nurse, and Dr. Louie O. Domingo, MD, JD, Head of CESU. They were joined by Ms. Maria Grazziela Paleracio from DepEd Pasay.
Representing SMA-P were Ms. Arrianne G. Mansueto, Ms. Marites R. Boces, Mr. Orlando P. Abon, Mr. Rovience M. Francisco, Mr. Jose Herman P. Cañete, Ms. Ma. Corazon S. Vergara, Ms. Angeline Nicole Dizon, RN, and Mr. Juanito B. Tan, School Principal.
The visit provided an opportunity for open dialogue and collaboration on strengthening the school’s health monitoring systems, implementing preventive measures, and aligning health protocols with city and division standards. Discussions focused on improving early detection, response, and communication in managing health-related incidents among students and personnel.
Through this visit, a new partnership was forged between CESU, DepEd Pasay, and SMA-P — reinforcing the shared goal of promoting wellness and safety within the learning environment.
