

St. Mary’s Academy of Pasay, Inc. welcomed a delegation from the Department of Education (DepEd) Division of Pasay on August 27, 2025, for a consultative visit aimed at providing guidance and support in response to reported cases of Hand, Foot, and Mouth Disease (HFMD) and chickenpox within the school community.
The visiting officials from DepEd Pasay included Mr. Bayani H. Litusquen, Project Development Officer II for Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (DRRM); Ms. Caroline G. Sarmiento, Nurse II; Dr. Maria Recelle G. Enriquez-Reyes, Medical Officer III; Atty. Jean Napay-Litusquen, Attorney III; and Mrs. Fatima P. Fajardo, Senior Education Program Specialist for Monitoring and Evaluation.
Representing SMAP were S. Ma. Elsa Rioveros, RVM, Finance Officer; Ms. Angeline Nicole Dizon, School Nurse; Ms. Ma. Corazon Vergara, Health Center Staff; Ms. Leonora Rubio, Guidance Coordinator and Educational Organization Management Representative (EOMR); and Mr. Juanito Tan, Principal.
During the visit, both teams discussed the school’s current health protocols, preventive measures, and response strategies to ensure the continued safety and well-being of students and staff. The delegation from DepEd Pasay also offered professional advice on maintaining proper hygiene practices, monitoring symptoms, and reinforcing awareness among learners and parents.
SMAP expressed its deep gratitude for the concern, expertise, and support extended by the DepEd Pasay representatives. The school also acknowledged the cooperation of the entire SMAP community in upholding a safe and healthy learning environment.
